GOOD OPENING DAY!
It was a nice opening day, the Cubs won, Kershaw threw a shutout and hit a homer, Harper had two bombs and alot of other great things that we have been waiting to see all winter! Also what we have been waiting for is the rosters for the rest of the Southern League, which are being released for consumption. I wont break them all down at once, we can save them for later as we see them come here, but there isnt an overwhelming team on paper yet.
SCHEDULE COMPLAINTS
Southern League schedule-maker? |
To see Birmingham twice in the first month is totally beyond stupid. They are in the other division, we should only meet them once in each half. But no, we host them twice in the first month and then dont see them again all year.
I would say that the Southern League uses trained monkeys to make the schedule, but trained monkeys KNOW Birmingham is in the North Division, because they are TRAINED.

Last year the Wahoos introduced their new ballpark to the world, and got rave reviews. With a slew of giveaways and a great new ballpark, this organization is poised to remain at the top of the heap in the league for stats like Fan Appreciation, Season Ticket-holder Love as well as less esoteric totals like Attendance, Income, Profit and local support.
